Frédérique Michéa gave lectures at Galatasaray University on European Union social law
Frédérique Michéa, member of the lecturer team of the SOC411 course "Social rights in Europe and Turkey: From legislation to reality, from reality to representations" of the Jean Monnet SOCRETUR Module, was at Galatasaray University on November 3 and 4, 2023. Frédérique Michéa, lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Rennes, and director of the Master's degree in European Union Law at the same university, gave a lecture on "EU Social Law" on November 3.
The following day, on Saturday November 4, 2023, Frédérique Michéa also gave another lecture on " The corporate duty of care in Europe and its effects on companies in global value chains ". The Duty of Vigilance Regulation, which also concerns multinational companies and their non-European suppliers, provides a binding legal framework to prevent companies from undermining human rights and the environment, and concerns several companies in Turkey that have business relations with Europe.
